Just across Ferguson Avenue from the Flanders Mill neighborhood sits the 100-acre Gallatin County Regional Park. Sometimes known as the ‘Dinosaur Dog’ park, since a large dinosaur-themed playground and dog walking trails were the first amenities developed in 2009.
Since then, this recreation hub has become a popular spot for families, dog walkers, joggers, picnickers and in the winter, sledders. Since opening, the park added on-leash and off-leash areas for dogs, a skate park, climbing boulder, sledding hill, a beach and fishing pier at the larger lake, picnic tables and have plans for sports fields, sports courts and more.
